I am unable to connect the new handle and have it be recognized on my computer
this is what is shown in the device manager.
It isn’t recognized in the device dashboard handles list as well.
Do i need to install drivers to get it to connect?
Is the new handle backward compatible with the old handle (Quill)?
Does the new handle support connection over wifi or is it usb3 only?

I think you need the CP210x Windows drivers from here CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers - Silicon Labs
We are working actively on getting back the wireless connection, but at the moment it is only USB2.0.
Let me know if that solves your issue 
After installing the driver the device is being recognized in the windows device manager, but the handle still doesn’t connect in the haply launcher.
